Kevin ♥

Today I got out of concert band, and walked to my study hall table. Back in the back, where no one else is. Somebody is supposed to sit with me there but he never does. Or I think I ignore him... One of the two. Either way, I decided to pull out my notebook for Wake Up Sunshine instead of Revolution Under This Skin.

Today I was about to discover something.

Although can you discover something that you've already known? I think so. But today I was purley amazed by someone.

I know what you're thinking, I was staring at some hot junior two tables down. Actually, today you happen to be wrong. (For future reference, I don't think there IS a hot junior two tables down. Anybody that goes to my school can help me out here because I was so into something else I don't pay attention to my surroundings..) I was surprised by one of my own creations. It was none other than Kevin, one of my favorite characters from the start of Wake Up Sunshine.

Now, don't get me wrong. Kevin's actions are most definitley not my favorite. I love Mikki too, and writing her pain was so hard it was almost unbearable. But what I love about Kevin is the reader can see his personality spelled out. Kevin is strong, brave, he's gone through a lot of hardships, and he's very critical of himself. He's almost at the point of self hatred but has so much love for everybody else. Kevin is a fun character to write because he's so different, so amazingly perfectly rounded as a character, and you love him, despite of what he's done.

Kevin's new scene should be posted to webook soon. I really hope you are going to see the difference as much as I do.

NEW CHAPTER!!!!

So, I've over come a lot of writer's block latley. But when I had Wake Up Sunshine nearly done, I thought the worst was over. Then when I started this chapter, it hit me again. I wanted Mikki to narrate, but I couldn't for some reason. I felt awful! I felt like the book might fail....

But it didn't. And that's because I couldn't use Mikki yet. I needed Kevin to come in first. And Kevin took a twist I wasn't expecting. Check it out!

Wake Up Sunshine

So, as you know I have written one book that is still being edited and I am working on that book's sequel as well. I figured I should probably post the links. Just in case you haven't read them ;)

Let me clear some things up first:

1) Wake Up Sunshine is the first book of the two. Some parts are still very very VERY rough so it may not be at it's best. Yet.

2) Revolution Under This Skin only has one chapter so far, and it is the prologue, so it is very short. I'll try to keep you updated as far as when the next chapters will be posted.

3) Most importantly, ALL WORK IS COPYRIGHTED BY BETHANY MARIE. Please do not take any work without permission.

Welcome

I will admit I'm new to this whole blogging thing, but I'm sure I'm going to get the hang of it. Basically, I'm trying to find a way people can learn more about Wake Up Sunshine as well as any other projects I happen to work on over time. I hope it works out!
